When I came to Brighton I wanted to continue my usual fitness routine I have at home. So, I looked up gyms in Brighton and thankfully there a many gyms to find in Brighton. And to make your search a little easier I’m writing this blogpost.
The first gym is called PureGym it is located at Tower Point, North Road. You can train whenever you want since it is opened 2 hours a day seven days a week. The membership is £24,99 a month or £8,99 a day. PureGym can be easily reached with the buses 7, 12, 37, 37B and 78 which are stopping at North Road, Queen’s Road or Victoria Gardens. Besides the gym gear there are more than 50 free classes. After you joined the gym you have the possibility to a free induction with a qualified instructor to find the perfect workout for you. Another option is the gym called Fitness First. The gym is in 78-81 Queen’s Road and is opened Monday to Thursday from 06:00 – 22:00, Friday from 06:00 – 21:00 and on the weekend and bank holiday from 08:00 to 20:00. You have different price options as you can see on the picture below. They offer you a variety of classes each day and instructors for your help. If the first gyms didn’t convince you I have another one for you. It is called The Gym and has two locations in Brighton, one in 94 London Road and the other one in Unit 9, The Terraces, Madeira Drive. Just as the first gym it is opened 24/7 and you have access to free Wi-Fi. A membership is £22.99 per month or you can try the gym for £9.49 a day. As all the other gyms, they offer you different classes if you’re a member. The Gym is a very ecologically friendly gym as they do a lot to keep their gym as “green” as possible. Underground gym offers you many different training options besides cardio and strength training. It has an own room called combat where you can e.g. do boxing. They have functional area for some H.I.T. A membership is £34.99 per month. They’re opened Monday to Friday from 05:00 – 22:00, Saturday from 06:00 – 20:00 and Sunday from 08:00 – 17:00. The last gym is called CHANGE which you can find in Portland Road Trading Estate, Hove. You can train there Monday to Thursday from 06:00 – 10:00, Friday from 06:00 – 08:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 07:30 – 05:00. Of course you have a wide range of classes you can choose from. They do have two locations besides Portland Road, one in Blatchington Road and St. Andrew’s School, Belfast Street. Their classes take place in all three locations. If you like something more calming, then yoga would be perfect for you. There are lots of options in Brighton.

You probably heard of Zumba before since its popular worldwide. At Zumba fitness, you have the chance to do Zumba five times a week in St. Paul’s School in St. Nicholas Road. Since Brighton is next to the sea it’s a good idea to use the chance and do some water sports. For only £10 per person you can rent a kayak for an hour. You can choose between different sized kayaks.
